Consistent with our personal and institutional beliefs, and our commitment to our investors, portfolio companies, employees and other constituencies, EagleTree Capital will endeavor always to:
- Remain committed to compliance with national, state, and local labor laws in jurisdictions in which we invest, and to provide a safe and healthy workplace consistent with national and local law.
- Maintain policies and procedures that prohibit bribery and other illegal payments to public officials consistent with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and similar laws in other relevant jurisdictions.
- Respect the human rights of those impacted by our investments, and seek to verify that our investments do not support companies that utilize child or forced labor or maintain discriminatory policies.
- Work with our portfolio companies to support ESG issues with a goal of improving corporate performance and minimizing adverse impacts from our investment activities.
- Appoint a senior representative of EagleTree Capital as our ESG officer to implement and oversee our ESG initiatives, and to coordinate our ESG initiatives among firm professionals and our portfolio companies.
- Work with our limited partners to enhance transparency regarding our ESG performance, and respect the wishes of our limited partners to the best of our ability who are legally or by charter unable to invest in specific sectors.
- Ensure that all EagleTree Capital employees, and senior management personnel of our portfolio companies, are aware of EagleTree’s culture of social responsibility, and encourage and facilitate all firm professionals to engage in nonprofit giving and organized volunteer activities.
- Identify target portfolio company ESG issues throughout our due diligence process, and consider ESG issues when evaluating whether to invest in a particular company.
